I’ve been trying to pay attention to current names in pop art, graphic design, visual media.
This is the second time I’ve seen KAWS come up, and finally checked out the details on wikipedia.
KAWS, or Brian Donnelly, has been involved in some pretty neat projects, contributing in disney animations, sought after graffitti work in the nyc, vinyl toys, projects with burton, and more.
Seen here, is Kanye West’s 808’s & Heartbreak album artwork, designed by kaws on a billboard in nyc:

I like this in particular, for contrasting how my life priorities, and hence money, are spent, in comparison to the average. I know my entertainment and reading sections would be a much higher percentile. Tobacco and (almost)transportation would disappear.
